Building a High Performance program from scratch with David Tenney, Austin FC

David is the inaugural High Performance Director of Major League Soccer Expansion club Austin FC. David joins Austin FC after three years as the first High Performance Director for the NBA’s Orlando Magic. During David’s stewardship of the Magic’s high performance department, the team made back-to-back playoff appearances for the first time since 2012. Prior to this David spent nine seasons with the Seattle Sounders. While with the Sounders, the team won MLS Cup (2016), the U.S. Open Cup four times, and made the MLS Playoffs in nine consecutive years.

David also serves on the Advisory Board of Sports Innovation Texas (https://sportsinnovationtx.com), a new initiative realising the potential of Austin and Central Texas to be a leading global hub for sports innovation and technology.
