There is a delightful book, "Creative Ideas: A spiritual compass for personal expression", by Ernest Holmes, which I keep close by me and turn to for inspiration and prayer. It consists of 165 pages of short affirmative prayers, each one preceded by a perfect little introduction to help us clarify our thinking and expectation before reading that particular prayer.
