It is now more important than ever to recognise not just the ways in which humanity communicates verbally, but also the more nuanced ways in which we physically communicate, and seek to replicate this through new means.
Communication is too often filtered through pretence due to our need to appear in a certain light when with certain people. This can easily be demonstrated by comparing the way in which we communicate with strangers, and how we communicate with those we know best.
Communication is generally believed to 55% physiology, 38% tonality and 7% verbal (words). This demonstrates the need for a greater depth of expression than merely verbal.
Learning is actually maximised by failure. Failure in any task instils within us a greater sense of achievement when we are victorious.

Keith is the owner and founder of TMG Training, a businessman, director and trustee as well as an associate of Henley and Oxford University Business Schools. He is an experienced board member with expertise in communication and strategy.
He was a television presenter and journalist for ITN, ITV and Channel 4. He has built and sold several businesses including The Media Group, TMG Support and TMG CRB, the country’s leading disclosure and barring service provider, to GB Group plc. He is a director of a multi-academy trust and chair of the Youth Sport Trust Enterprise Board.
He now works with leading organisations to develop, simplify and maximise effective communication.

Keith is married to Alison and lives outside Nottingham. They have two grown-up daughters: Emily (a lawyer) and Sarah (a teacher), as well as a Labrador, Tilly.
