Stress is a word that has been used for a long time. It's a strange concept that has been used for every type of anxiety that we may come across in all walks of life. Acute stress is the most common form of stress but this won't impact on your overall life. Chronic stress, however, which is the most impactful form of stress can wreak havoc on your mind and body.
Over time, stress begins to wear you down both mentally and physically, so you must visit your GP as soon as you start to feel the symptoms.
Stress can give you an extra push to helping you achieve your goals, if you learn how to make it work for you, rather than against you. Learn how to master the approach of acknowledging your stress and understanding what triggers it. Then you can make it work for you.
To combat stress, give yourself time to relax and ensure you get a good night's sleep. Sleep heals the body and the mind. Don’t simply ignore your stress, learn how to turn it into a positive.
