The language of the services, as well as the traditional words in Orthodox prayerbooks, is often expressed in terms that can provoke a sense of shame - descriptions of our unworthiness, or of our fear before the presence of God. How do we read these words in a healthy manner and use them in the way they are intended? This can be an especially important topic for those who were raised in a tradition other than Orthodoxy.
