Dr. Martina Tam and Martin Friedman tackle a tough topic in this new podcast. Martina Tam has worked in many remote locations as a doctor. In this podcast she shares her experiences with racism in the healthcare system. She explains that the dialogue about patients can be clouded with judgement and stereotypes. Which can lead to bad and unequal care of that patient. She believes looking beyond the patient's health and focusing on their life that caused them to be unhealthy can benefit the healthcare system.
