Today on Sojourner Truth with Margaret Prescod:

Yesterday, in his speech before the U.N. General Assembly, Donald Trump boasted that his administration had achieved more than almost any other president in U.S. history, causing world leaders to break out in laughter. Clips from that moment were shown around the world.

But not so fast. Trump used his speech to underscore his America First foreign policy, including trade and support for Israel. He praised Kim Jong Un and Poland, while attacking Iran, China, Germany, the U.N. Human Rights Council, OPEC, Venezuela and immigrants. Today, he is expected to continue his attacks especially on Iran as he chairs the U.N. Security Council. To discuss all this, we welcome Dr. Gerald Horne.

And an update on Haiti. A new Prime Minister has been announced following the reshuffling of the government following a nation-wide uprising against the government by the Haitian grassroots this past July. Who is Jean Henry Ceant, now Haitis new PM? Our guest is journalist and Haiti expert Kevin Pina.

Also, A New Way of Life (ANWOL) will have its annual film festival this weekend. Susan Burton, author of Call me Ms. Burton and founder of ANWOL, joins us.

For our Campaigners for Black Lives series, Akili joins us to weigh in on a new ordinance proposed by the Los Angeles City Council that would criminalize protest.

Finally, Sojourner Truth Election Watch with Dorothy Reik.
