Today I get the chance to sit down with sport psychologist and runner, Adrienne Langelier.

As we start out our conversation I ask Adrienne to detail her non-traditional path to running. From her place of being younger and having performance anxiety so bad that she avoided running collegiately, to then running as a low level pro.

Then we talk about the importance of the stories we tell ourselves and why we latch on to temporary situations and make them into "permanent" character traits.

Adrienne shares the importance of "not wasting your suffering." Something that all of us will come up against at multiple times in our lives.

Through that topic we get onto discussing the importance of defining your humanity through something other than your "successes" in sport.
