From Bullets to Novels w/ Geraint Jones

The Sierra Hotel Echo team continues their series on transitioning from the military and entering the civilian sector again. Geraint Jones joins the show to discuss his journey from being a British Army Infantryman to now being a New York Times & Sunday Times bestselling writer and host of the @veteranstateofmind podcast. He has been deployed on three tours of duty to Iraq and Afghanistan, earning the General Officer Commanding's Award for Gallantry and being selected for the Reconnaissance Platoon, the elite unit within the battalion. In this episode, he discusses his observations of the differences between foreign militaries and also how he saw women being treated throughout them. Additionally, he speaks on the human nature of being an infantrymen and the trouble that may come with it that may make the transition out of the military that much more difficult.
