Shelly tells us how she was married off as a young girl in India to a young boy from London. How she went from timid and meek to strong and confident while fighting for custody of her son in both India and the UK. She enlightens us in a very positive way about her journey as an entrepreneur, starting with GBP 250 and turning that into GBP 60k in a few short months. She has another "iteration" when she decides to attend the Cordon Bleu cooking school at the age of 50 and run two restaurants based in Delhi, while she is based in London!
As the mother of a 28 year old daughter who has also decided to become an entrepreneur, she talks about the importance of female rights in India as part of a bigger cultural and economic solution for that country to be able to truly thrive into the next millennial.
