In this episode we’re really grateful to be joined by one of our own - doing great things offshore. Joining us in our latest passport pod is Coach Tracy York - the Head Coach of the Malaysian Women's National Basketball Team that won Bronze at the recent South East Asia Games… during a monster heat wave in Cambodia!

A veteran coach of the WNBL, most recently with Bendigo Spirit, she has uniquely cut her teeth coaching both men's and women's basketball, including a near 5 year stint as the Assistant Coach with NBL’s Adelaide 36’ers. She’s also got a long history of coaching our women’s youth national teams including the Sapphires to last years’ Asia Cup Gold as well as that historic Gold from 2016 alongside Head Coach Shannon Seebohm. Tracy shares some fascinating insights into the Sapphires tournaments and talent identification.

We’re very grateful that Tracy persisted through a few internet issues during this recording… but you kinda know when you’re guest starts the podcast with an unbridled sneeze that it’s gonna be a real one… and it definitely is one for the books! Besides some hilarious out takes, that we’ll save for another time.

Coach Tracy fills us in on her coaching journey alongside the lessons from her life in the police force, the state of play in South East Asia and thought provoking insights into womens hoops!

Enjoy!
