Our bodies get a LOT of attention! And it's not all positive. They are harshly judged by our culture, community and our inner critic!
As we move through life, our body changes. We're taught to resist, distrust, manipulate, control and fight our body.
In this episode, I've invited Liz Reichard, a Body Image expert, and teacher of the embodied dance practice, Qoya, to share her views on how we can live a turned on life in the body we have.
We discuss:
Why it's important to give attention to our body.
How to feel turned on in the body you have.
Why midlife is an important time for women.
Embodiment and how it can help you feel turned on.
The benefits of being back in your body
How embodied dance can help you find and remember your power within.
The value of movement, and moving for ourselves
How to feel ok in your body.
The body image spectrum from body love to body loathing
