Today topic is:

Sher on bringing back the old a lost art of holding hands.

When counting the properties of healthy relationships

One of them is that they bing a sense of well being which help us manage the everyday stresses. An example that measures this fact is the one James Coan, a clinical psychologist and neuroscientist at the University of Virginia does while allowing volunteers to hold hands of love ones, relatives, or close friends while being threaten to zap them with an electric shock, the study shows the levels of social support in the volunteers into the MRI scanner and concluded that effectively, people who hold hands with love ones did better than people who hold hands with strangers. (Weir, 2014).

If holding hangs its helpful to relax you and comfort you right before when you are about to receive an electrical shock by the hands of a scientist, imagine the good that can make you when you do not have any site of danger and you get the oxytocin benefits in your brain and who knows maybe you can get something extra like a kiss, or a hug which will raise your dopamine levels and ultimately bringing you more light into your life.

So the next time that you find your self walking with your mate, your siblings, your parents, or best friend hold their hand, get healthier, feel happier, and make them feel better too.

So there you have it.

My name is Shirley Henderson and I will meet you again right here on the my next post.
