Our special guest Dr. Alexis Wellwood is an Associate Professor of Philosophy and Linguistics at the University of Southern California. She is a linguist, philosopher, cognitive scientist, and author of The Meaning of *More*, with Oxford University Press. Today she's sharing her work in USC's Meaning Lab and her connections between children's and adults' understanding of the meaning of words and thoughts. Not only that, but we also dive into the literal and pragmatic meaning of phrases!
