Humanities and Science at the 2023 Annual CCHA Conference in Cleveland Ohio

Tony and Stu are discussing their recent attendance at a community college humanities association meeting in Cleveland, Ohio. The topic of integrating science into humanities was a hot topic at the meeting, and Tony and Stu were surprised to find that their talk on the subject was extremely well-received. 

Other discussions at the meeting included the importance of classics in different cultures and the history of medical practice, the arbitrary nature of divisions between science, mythology, and alchemy, and whether ancient works like Homer should be considered historical. 

Overall, the meeting sparked fascinating discussions about the intersection of different fields of study and the role of classics in our understanding of human nature.
