Welcome to episode 370 of Sexology Podcast! Today I am delighted to be speaking with Natasha Helfer. In today's episode, we discuss the negative impact of sexual shame often fostered in religious societies, touching on topics such as: religious trauma, community expectations on sexual behavior and the shunning of self-determination.

Natasha Helfer is an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist with over 20 years of experience in treating individuals, couples, and families. She creates an approachable and safe space, often using humor, for discussing sensitive topics. Helfer specializes in assisting clients with interpersonal relationships, sexual development, and navigating religious or spiritual journeys. She is adept at supporting individuals whether they choose to remain in or leave their faith communities, respecting all religious choices.
