Elders has had a record year for its real estate division, but the strategy is not expansion at all costs.

On this episode of Secrets of the top 100 Agents, host Juliet Helmke speaks with Belinda Connor, general manager of residential real estate and brand at Elders, to unpack how one of Australia’s oldest businesses has achieved rapid growth in its real estate services.

Belinda shares the due diligence that goes into assessing whether a business is a good fit for the operation, including how they ensure that acquisitions don’t disrupt the family feel that is at Elders’ core. She explains what the transition looks like for agencies and the behind-the-scenes logistics that go into the changeover.

The duo also discuss how the company’s reputation and diverse operations help to support its real estate arm, and cover what the firm learnt from forays into different, wide-ranging sectors, such as beer and automobiles.
