Ep 78: The Sun Also Rises - Gina Jones

'The Sun Also Rises' is the story of a woman (Raye) trapped in an abusive relationship. The film charts her struggle to survive, her journey to escape, and how the cycle of violence affects all that come into contact with it. The lead role is played by Gina Jones.  Gina was close to giving up acting when she lost part of her hearing and started to suffer from tinnitus, that constant ringing sound in the ears, following a car crash. The struggle to hear directions on set and the awkward moments she experienced at social events weighed heavily on her mind and confidence. Her determination to push through her own personal challenges to draw attention to the challenges many face as abuse victims in her new film is testimony to her strength and resilience.
