Some of the biggest culprits of Esports gambling are not even old enough to shave. In purchasing “loot boxes” a player pays for a chance to win digital goods including player skins. While this is not illegal per say, the age of consumers making the gamble on virtual goods starts at a very young age and would be under the conventional age to gamble. 3rd year law student Ashton Boyken discusses the problems and possible solutions to this dilemma of gambling in esports.
