A group of six boardgamers dive into the D&D campaign “Hoard of the Dragon Queen”
Characters include Petrilus (Barbarian), Sparker (Warlock), Quazzy (Wizard), Flora (Sorcerer), and Jaquen (Fighter).
Highlights include:
1. The group start to trail the Lizardfolk from the tunnel and Flora disguises herself so as not to be recognized; we discuss Flora’s actions with Bogluck.
2. Quazzy tries to reconcile what he’s seen the group do and what to do next.
3. We get attacked by frogs! Quazzy shows off his creative side while Flora critically misses and injures Petrilus and Jaquen critically hits but does little damage.
4. After a long journey through the swamp, we find some canoes.
5. Flora gets to enact a plan she kind of came up with earlier but it goes off the rails pretty quick. Pinkie takes an opportunity to train her weapon skills.
A few editorial notes on this episode:
1. Sorry about the loud screeching noises heard just under the 1 hour mark.
2. References to a ‘Basil’ and meows heard on this episode and #71 belong to the happy dude shown in our episode photo.
3. Towards the end of this episode something happens that won’t make much sense while listening to the audio but in short, Stephen now has to be more careful drinking water when someone says something the slightest bit funny.
