Celebrating the melting pot of cultures, Shinju Matsuri Broome - 1963年来豪　ブルーム在住・元パールダイバー、田中常博さん

Tsunehiro Tanaka is a former pearl diver that arrived in Broome in 1963. He is one of the two early Japanese divers left in Broome today. He spoke to SBS Japanese ahead of the floating lantern festival, that pay respect to the many divers who lost their lives at sea.

ブルームのチャイナタウンには、田中常博さんにちなんで、タナカ・レーンというストリートがあります。ブルームの真珠産業に長らく貢献したその証です。
