Happy 4th of July! Today I wanted to discuss the topic of gratitude. The 4th is a great time to reflect on how lucky we are to be citizens of this great country and to realize and marvel at the sacrifice and foresight of the founding fathers, who laid the foundation of the freedom and liberty we enjoy today.
On the 4th of July in 1939 Lou Gehrig spoke his message of gratitude, which is was I wanted to share today. A man who was facing a debilitating, fatal illness, stood in a packed stadium and called himself “the luckiest man on the face of the earth.”
So let's listen and live by the message of the original iron man in baseball, whose heart was full of love and gratitude.
