Balance in our lives is very important in the long run, but sometimes it takes a burning desire and a relentless, almost stubborn belief that we are going to succeed to achieve our goals. When I was young my only focus was being a Major Leaguer. There was no plan b, no other option and I knew that I wasn’t the most talented player out there. When you put those things together you get someone with a big heart who is willing to do more than everyone else to make it.
