New World Delayed...Again...but not for long [Link]

Last year it was announced New World would be delayed until Spring of 2021 then delayed again until August 31st. The new date is set for September 28th

The delay by the developers is due to “take a few extra weeks to smash bugs, improve stability, and polish the game.”

The beta has had over a million adventures and has had over 16 million hours played during beta

Activision Blizzard Lawsuit [Link]

Gamer or not, I’m sure you’ve heard of Activision Blizzard. Well, as I’m sure you’ve also heard recently; They are being eviscerated by a recent scandal consisting of accusations of discrimination and harassment!

J. Allen Brack, president of the company's Blizzard Entertainment studio, has already resigned due to a lawsuit alleging a "frat boy" work culture where multiple female employees were subjected to gender discrimination, sexual harassment, unequal pay, and that "the company's executives and human resources personnel knew of the harassment and failed to take reasonable steps to prevent the unlawful conduct, and instead retaliated against women who complained."

Many current and former employees started sharing their experiences online, as soon as the lawsuit was official

An indirect, but not so surprising, side effect of this scandal is many players cancelling their game-based subscriptions and refraining from purchasing future titles

Shareholders sue Activision Blizzard [Link]

Shareholders are arguing that they have been "economically damaged" by company execs withholding information and allegations that have recently come to light

The complaint specifically names a few executives, and others, that were "aware of, or recklessly disregarding, the fact that the ‘false and misleading statements’ were being issued concerning the Company"

This lawsuit says Activision Blizzard failed to tell shareholders that it was under investigation by the California DFEH or that it was "at greater risk of regulatory and legal scrutiny and enforcement" based on undisclosed facts.

These recent allegations have cause the stock price of AB to fall to $79.83 based on Tuesday's closing price
