Netflix Cloud Gaming Service: Mobile.. “For Now” [Link]

With all of the cloud gaming talk lately, we just wanted to mention this one, especially after recently mentioning it… ?!

Back in April after Netflix stated that "games are going to be an important form of entertainment" for them, they made a move last week. Netflix hired former Oculus content VP Mike Verdu as their VP of game development.

New World Beta Bricking RTX 3090s?! [Link]

New World Beta launched yesterday (7/20), hitting almost 200k player instantly

It didn’t take long for reports to start coming in about RTX 3090 users, specifically EVGA 3090, getting bricked!

Caused by high temperatures experienced while playing and it doesn't seem to do be doing so under any real heavy load, as some users have reported it happening on the title screens

EVGA has made a statement, saying they are dealing with “specific problems” in general

(Amazon's New World officially addressed the reports in a post to the New World forums today, stating that they believe the issue is due to driver and framerate limiters. The team detailed steps for users worried about this happening to their GPU to take to effectively ensure that this doesn't brick your GPU as well.)

The update brings a brand-new “social space,” the LS Car Meet, which is described as an underground racing hide-out. You’ll be able to find this car-meet in Cypress Flats. Here, you’ll be able to show off, customize, and test out your rides while watching other players modify theirs.

You’ll also be able to become a LS Car Meet Member which gives you access to the Test Track where you’ll be able to invite friends, to test or race, on the private Test Track. You can also test new vehicles, preview upcoming vehicles, try out six new race types, and much more.
