You can be the best salesperson in the world, but if you don't believe in your product or service you ultimately won't be successful.  Prospects can very perceptive when it comes to the passion, or lack thereof, that you demonstrate when talking about your product.  Additionally, you will eventually lose steam and stop doing the "right" things to be successful.
