The English Game: It's Downton Abbey, but with football.  Julian Fellowes’ new period drama is set in 19th century England, and tells the story of how football reached across the class divide to establish itself as the world's most popular sport (Netflix, from Friday 20 March).
The Plot Against America: Starring Winona Ryder, this miniseries presents an alternate American history, told through the eyes of a working-class Jewish family as they watch the political rise of Charles Lindbergh, an aviator-hero and xenophobic populist, who becomes president and turns the nation toward fascism (Neon, from March 17).
