Special guest Sera (she/her) brings us a true blast from the past with Mummies Alive! Four mummies awake from their sarcophagi in 1997 San Francisco, sworn to protect the pharaoh's lost son Rapses, who they believe is a cool boy with a skateboard named Presley. They live in a secret room in the history museum when not fighting Scarab, an evil sorcerer with inefficient plans.
We discuss the "mummy mania" of the late 90s, toyetic vehicles, hiding magical creatures in your room, a spooky costume ball that isn't explicitly for Halloween, and how almost every voice actor also had a credit on X-Men: Evolution.
