In this episode of Sandwich Parenting, Sherry Yuan Hunter has a conversation with a special guest, Angela Wu. Angela is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Empowerment Coach who is passionate about de-stigmatizing mental health in the AAPI community as well as helping women of color reclaim and raise their voices in order to embody their empowered authentic selves! Angela was a high school math teacher who taught in Title 1 schools in Miami and in San Francisco. It was in the classroom where she witnessed how racial trauma and toxic stress impacted her students' ability to learn which led her to pursue a degree in counseling. She started her practice to be a much-needed resource for the Asian community. You can learn more about Angela at www.thesassyasiantherapist.com or on Instagram @thesassyasiantherapist.
