This lecture discusses key ideas from the ancient philosopher Plato's work, The Phaedo, which is a dialogue taking place between Socrates and his friends on the day of his execution.

Specifically it examines one of the important sets of arguments for and against the immortality of the soul, those having to do with the question whether the soul could wear out over time.
