This lecture discusses key ideas from the ancient Stoic philosopher and Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius' work, Meditations (or To Myself)

It focuses specifically on a passage in book 8 which has to do with incorporating philosophy in practical ways into the scope and purposes of one's own life. This allows us to avoid falling into vainglory (kenodoxia).
