This lecture discusses key ideas from the 19th century Utilitarian philosopher John Stuart Mill's work, Utilitarianism

It focuses specifically his discussion in chapter 2, where, after introducing his distinction between higher and lower pleasures, Mill discusses difference in quality of pleasures. There are higher pleasures - associated with higher faculties of the human being - and lower pleasures - associated with lower faculties.
