What comes to mind when you think about the word "risk?" Bad things, death, being broke, leaping off a mountain?

Risk means something a little bit different to us all, but inside of a business & life sense it usually means doing something with both a potential upside and downside. You might end up better or worse because of an action or decision or thing you're doing.

So how do you deal with all the thoughts and worries and anxiety around taking risks and get to a place where you can strategically and confidently take regular, calculated risks?

Walk through the worst-case scenario in your mind and accept that outcome as the default. Think about it - if the absolute worst-case scenario does in fact happen and come to fruition, but you have already anticipated that outcome, where does that leave you? It leaves you in a place to fight another day.

When you go through and accept the rock-bottom scenario as the likely outcome - anything that happens above that bottom threshold is a win! This shouldn't be confused with negative thinking, but it is truly a powerful way to gain certainty and clarity in your decisions.

Question: Where in your life do you need to take a risk and stop sitting on the fence of indecision?
