4:05: Today and tomorrow, as year-ender segments, the personal stories shared with listeners/callers which received a great deal of feedback. One of the most responded to was my refusing to have a cashier with an obvious cold/flu check out my groceries as my wife continues her health battle. Most callers and most email supportive of not having the cashier handle the groceries. Some though felt I was being unfair to the cashier who probably was under orders to report to work regardless of her obvious health issues. Service industry workers called to say they were routinely told to work even with colds/flus.

4:20: The LAST WORD to Callers: Should that cashier with an obvious bad cold (at least) have been handling customers groceries? Are employees in the service industry under pressure to report to work even if they're sick?
