“One of the fundamental shifts to support finding and owning your purpose and your calling is to get still, and to start going in as opposed to seeking.” - Rha Goddess
Early in the pandemic, Rha had a dream where she fought to stay afloat in a wild storm. Suddenly she heard a voice say, “Do not fight the waves. Let the current carry.” It’s a message each of us can benefit from, and not just in this year of massive change. Many of us have what Rha would call purpose anxiety: Who am I? What am I meant to do with my life? What if I go for it and it doesn’t work out?
Rha Goddess, Founder and CEO of http://www.movethecrowd.me (Move the Crowd), admits she came to her own purpose kicking and screaming. After a life-changing wake-up call, she chose soul coaching and authorship to help people find their purpose and work through three major conversations that often stand in the way. Through her most recent project nFormation, a membership-based technology platform for high-performing women of color, Rha has experienced how purpose can evolve and change over time, particularly when we analyze how our personal gifts align with the times in which we live.
Rha Goddess is our guest on this week’s episode of Rock Your Joy where she discusses how the “great pause” has given us the gift of time, her book The Calling: Three Fundamental Shifts to Stay True, Get Paid and Do Good, and the evolution of purpose and its alignment with the times. Take a listen!
