Alyssa Rogers @compasscoachalyssa is a primal health coach receiving her certification through the primal health coach institute in 2020. A wife a mother and  a music teacher. Alyssa runs Compass coach wellness along side her fellow coaches @ketoteachermom Lindy Bulsterbaum and @myketogenicfamily Terri  Barrios where they Help their clients navigate their way to health through personalized diet and lifestyle changes.


As a young woman in her twenties, Alyssa struggled with chronic back pain, bladder spasms, fatigue and burn out, chronic sinus infections and intense allergies. I was diagnosed at 27 with Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease. She was constantly stressed and running on adrenaline most days. She was so tired and the only thing that kept her going was the passion for her job and her family and friends. Alyssa struggled with negative self talk as she continued to try diet after diet, shakes and plans, all to lose the same 8-10 pounds and then regain. It seemed that no matter how hard she tried, nothing worked. She felt destined to be overweight and that she would never feel “well”.

Alyssa switched from a Standard American Diet to a Ketogenic lifestyle in 2016. Alyssa was introduced to the ketogenic lifestyle through  hearing Jimmy Moore speak about it on a podcast she was listening to. A moment that quite literally changed her life. She started researching the diet and discovered the science behind the lifestyle and learned more about how our bodies work and realized there was a whole realm of knowledge she knew nothing about. Not only did she lose weight (50 pounds lost and maintained for 4.5 years!) and start to feel better, but she gained so much knowledge and a new found passion for health and wellness!

As much as I love nutrition, I know that there are so many other components that are so important, like sleep, stress management, and movement. I look forward to helping clients create a sustainable, well-rounded, and fulfilling lifestyle that addresses all the components of optimal health.
