The board of RNZ are this morning releasing details of an independent review into how pro-Russian sentiment was inserted into a range of online stories. One staff member has been stood down while the matter is investigated. As of last night, an audit has found 22 articles that were inappropriately edited, 21 that had come from Reuters, and one from the BBC. The edits also now extend to anti-Israeli, pro-Palestian language being added to international wire copy. RNZ board chair, Jim Mather, led a board meeting last night.
