The Government's proposed date for all rental campervans to become self-contained has been slammed as a "nightmare waiting to happen."
The Rental Vehicle Association says it's foolhardy for changes to the freedom camping regulations to be implemented in December next year - during peak tourist season.
And it questions why private campervans have a deadline that falls six months later.
