The purse strings are expected be pulled tight in the government's mini budget, released Wednesday afternoon.
It will also give more detail on the tax cuts that underpinned the National Party's election promises.
But the Prime Minister has hinted there won't be much to reveal, calling it a 'mini, mini, mini budget.'
