Hurricanes management may apologise to the government over a haka performed on Saturday.
The Wellington-based Super Rugby Aupiki team, the Poua, altered a haka to include the words "karetao o te Kāwana kakiwhero", which translates to "puppets of this redneck government".
Hurricanes chief executive Avan Lee says he was not adequately consulted about the change.
