A massive collection of classic surfboards and memorabilia is going up for sale in Tauranga.
The collection, which is stored in an airport hangar, includes 130 longboards and short boards, skateboards, surfing posters, movies, diecast models and even wetsuits.
Tauranga businessman Dusty Waddell says the collection, which at one point included around 800 surfboards, is valued at around $200,000 with pieces dating back to the 60s right through to the 80s.
Grant Dyson, a spokesperson for Waddell, spoke to Ingrid Hipkiss.
