Hospitality New Zealand is toasting the government for the decision to allow thousands of newcomers into the country who might also help the hospitality sector deal with chronic labour shortages.
Chief executive Julie White says even though the doubling of numbers under the Working Holiday Scheme and the extension of visas are temporary, this will make a big difference.
Especially during the all-important summer season.
