The Labour party leader is promising to turn his attention to tax, saying the current system is inequitable and unsustainable.
In a state of the nation speech in South Auckland, Chris Hipkins said Aotearoa has one of the least diversified tax systems in the world.
He says a report from the International Monetary Fund, released in the last couple of days, shows that New Zealand's tax system is unfair on salary earners, and he wants the party to revisit its tax policies.
Hipkins spoke to Corin Dann.
