The biggest crowds of the cricketing summer are set to flock to the Chappell-Hadlee Twenty20 series between the Black Caps and Australia which begins in Wellington Wednesday night.
Both teams are using the three-match series to prepare for the World Cup in June but there's always more than that riding on trans-Tasman contests.
Fuel was added this week when Australian opener David Warner said he copped abuse from New Zealand crowds in a previous series here eight years ago.
Black Caps batting coach Luke Ronchi spoke to Ingrid Hipkiss.
