NZer helps expose high profile Euro scam

Now for something a little different - a New Zealander living in Europe has been caught up in a scam involving some of the highest profile medical professionals in the world. Last year, comedian Willy Kosovich was asked to MC a medical conference in the city he was living in - Berlin - hosted by the European Society of Medicine. Some of the top names in their fields were invited, some to speak at the event - all for several hundred dollars, of course. Some, including Willy, smelled a rat, and stayed away, others were less fortunate and turned up, only to discover there were no hotel bookings under their names at the Hilton, there was no technology provided to support the presentations, and lunch proved to be biscuits and coffee.
