NZ reaches zero new Covid-19 cases, Ardern in talks with AUS

For the first time since the Covid-19 outbreak seven weeks ago, New Zealand has today reported no new cases of coronavirus. There were times during the level 4 lockdown where new daily cases peaked in the high 80s. In stark contrast to the past fortnight where the number of new cases has been in single digits. But as dozens of people flocked to beaches over the weekend, our first at alert level 3, Director-General of Health Ashley Bloomfield is warning us not to pop the champagne corks yet. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern used her post-Cabinet press confernece to echo the Director General's caution. She also revealed that she will join the Australian government's Cabinet meeting on Tuesday. Checkpoint will bring all the details of that discussion.
