Future ownership of the media company Stuff remains unclear after a tumultuous day on the markets yesterday, and fresh revelations that other buyers are waiting in the wings.
The government is remaining tight-lipped - refusing to say whether it will pass the legislation NZME needs in order for it to buy Stuff, and the main players - NZME and Stuff's owner Nine Entertainment in Australia, have yet to front for interviews.
And without much concrete information to go on, speculation is rife.
