In this episode, we discuss how to recognize and cope when you are headed down your polyvagal ladder. In other words, when an event triggers you in your life, how do you respond? Do you go into fight or flight mode, do you shut down completely or are you able to stay calm and carry on? These are normal responses to daily stressful events in our lives. This episode is about planning ahead for these inevitable events by creating your own personal RISE kit. Decide ahead of time how you will regulate yourself. How will you reset your body, your inner voice, your social connections, and your environment to best support yourself?
