Steve Larsen s started his working career in web development but changed direction when he was 23  to become a financial planner. Having obtained high-level financial and accounting qualifications, Steve worked for a number of different companies  but, over the past few years, he decided he wanted to make some changes to his life. He wasn t 100% certain about what he wanted to do but the one thing he did know was that it involved writing. He realised that to do this he needed to spend less time at work so he set about organising his business by putting systems in place, reviewing his client base and training staff so they could run things for him.

Steve compares putting a business in order to getting a house together before you sell it – the frustrations go away and it provides you with the options to make the changes that will help you.  Steve feels life is too short to work in a career you don’t like and his aim is to help people who are stuck and want to start moving forward to spend time on what is most important to them. Unfortunately making changes can be difficult but Steve can show how others have navigated their family and finances to make meaningful change in their lives.

Steve found his business became more successful and profitable with him being at work less and nowadays his role and how he interacts with the business has evolved. His focus is now on ensuring his employees and business partners have the skills to run things and he also undertakes executive coaching and coaching with business owners to help them through the process he has been through.

You can find out more about Steve’s and his book  ‘A Year Off’ which will be out mid 2020.
