Patric was a recent guest at Comic Con Africa in Johannesburg, and was kind enough to spend some time sharing his path to geekdom including which animated movie became his first geek obsession; his encyclopedic knowledge on the differences between black and white rhinos; and, his latest work on "The Mask: I Pledge Allegiance To The Mask!", a new four issue limited series which is on sale now, and has some ... interesting analogies to the current US political environment.

Two notes before we begin: firstly, we recorded this interview at Patric's booth at Comic Con Africa, and there were a number of fans interacting with him during our chat, so there might be some narrative hiccoughs in our conversation. Secondly, a massive shout out to the Death Wish Coffee team - Comic Con Africa was an amazing event, but with so much on offer, and some guests struggling with jetlag, we really needed the world's strongest coffee to get us through. Please, do check out their incredible 'Fueled By Death' podcast and let them know Release The Geek sent you.
